Evolution

My name is Sally Scott and I have been coaching since 1993 here in Australia and in Toronto, Canada.  I have been coaching with the Boondall Synchro Club since 2002.  I have coached all levels of Synchro during my time with the club including Aussie Skate, Novice, Junior, Mixed Age and Senior.  I am currently the coach of our two Adult teams – Evolution who are in the Adult Division and Solstice who are in the Advanced Adult division.

I have ice skated since I was 12 years old, mainly concentrating on ice dance where my partner and I were the National Champions and went to Junior Worlds and various ISU competitions overseas.  I have also skated Synchro in the Senior Team ‘Corps De Patineur’ for many years.  I also love to coach ice dance, learn to skate and skills and pattern tests.

I have been involved with Synchro all my skating career, and it is such a fun and enjoyable team sport to skate and compete in.

Synchro skating is such a fun and enjoyable team sport and we encourage you to come and see what it is all about!

Tahnee Hume

Assistant Apollo

Tahnee started her singles figure skating journey at age 7. She competed at several state and national championships, and was also selected to compete for Australia in Gdańsk, Poland. She had never considered another ice skating discipline until she was asked to join Aurora, the junior level synchronised skating team at that time. After a few weeks, she began training with Nova, despite not being of age. Due to a serious hip injury resulting in surgery, she saw the end of her figure skating career and began to embrace the synchro discipline more.

By 2017, she was age eligible to compete with Nova full time. Throughout the years, she has won multiple medals and travelled all around Australia. She has also competed in France, Austria, Sweden, Scotland and New Zealand with the team. In 2020, Tahnee became the Nova Vice Captain, to help lead her team towards the ultimate goal of qualifying for the World Synchronized Ice Skating Championships.

Tahnee has been assisting the new Mixed Age team Apollo since they were in Aussie Skate in 2018. The team debuted in the competitive stream in 2021 and were very successful in their first season. She aims to develop these skaters further into a strong team within the Mixed Age division. Tahnee is highly passionate about the sport and is determined to help skaters achieve their fullest potential across the whole BSISC club.
